my artist block has lifted finally after 2 years and i go to a life drawing class every week. its amazing to finally feel like drawing and i doesnt look like crap when you do it. i've been meaning to get some drawings up but my scanner is lame and so i have to take photos of everything and it doesnt look so good etc etc...
well, doing uni now (sorta). doing this like open foundation type course but for young people. its really good. i do heaps of art and painting. haven't painted in ages and realise i'm not too bad at it. loads of paintings coming your way!
the funny thing about this artist block is that now i have a camera block. i never thought it could happen but it did. i dont feel inspired to take as many photos anymore. so weird.
anyway, everything is pretty awesome. i'm on a study break at the mo and i got a shit load of assignments to do and cant be assed doing them because i'm terrible at starting things and then finishing them and also because i'm bad at writing essays. well, i'm pretty dodge at writing anything for the matter.

wello, i finished all my major works for art, photograhpy and society and culture. so now i am able to write as many journals as i want! yayyy!
so my HSC is comming up soo that means studying BUT i get to finish school! yay!
then what?
i guess i wont be seeing anyone anymore everyday. i'll get a job then. what job? i dunno. cinema. sure.
i was going to sell my art at an art studio but the lady scared me so i don't think i'll be going there again. she is a little austere.
sooooooooooooooo keen to go on holidays and go somewhere. i've been stuck at home finishing school work and doing exams and studying for exams and blaaarrrhhhhh...
but i'll be going to melbourne in november!
i want to go and climb a mountain or something...
next week i'm going to the flora festival so that means MACRO! yaaaayyy!
its a flower themed festival and i go there nearly every year.
i'm going to scan some drawings soon. it seems as though people have forgotten i draw. haha, maybe i have too..
holidays soon! i guess than means getting my head down and studying... fml...kidding. its not so bad. it'll be over soon and i'll be running in the fields!

and it was AWESOME. i went to nelson bay in port stephens nsw, and i like swam with sharks and sting rays, went 4WDing over sand dunes and horse riding on the beach and saw fighter jets taking off and they were like pcheeeewwwwwoooaaarrrrrrrrrdlfsflafl;klsg;elghdlsrkh

i got shit loads of photos from it and i worked out some new techniques so i'm getting heaps better on taking a more interesting and quality shots.
i've been doing a lot of drawing lately too. btw, i do a lot of drawing but it takes less effort to upload a photo that a drawing..cause that means i dont have to scan it or take a photo..
guh.
the subject matter has been the make-up models from polish life-style magazines cause i find that the easiest way to find a picture of a lady with out buying nude photography books and looking suss and sleazy at the counter...
i'd like to draw some males too but all the models in those mags are like "look at me i'm so hot" or "oooh taking a shower feels good yeeehhh" so i'm like, "male model fail."
so yeh. worked out a new way to do my major work for art. so instead of canvas painting (which i ultimately fail at at the moment) so i decided to do a drawing with a wash of colour. and i tried it and it looks awesome
i'm very happy with my progress at school at the moment cause i'm finally starting and getting the confidence to do stuff instead of running out of the class, upset, cause i dont know what to do.
i've been going through a huge change at the moment, getting rid of all my dusty toys from childhood and giving them to little kids. well, just one kid, i dont really know many little girls. just my neighbour.
its about time anyway..
they're just sitting in my room dusting away.
so well, i better go. better get back to "doing" work in photography class.

i went to the art galllery in canberra to see that van gogh exhibition. its pretty cool. like..yeh. *flicks hair*
yes autumn! the best time on the year for me! perfect temperature..beautiful sunsets...leaves falling...joy!
going to hornsby sometime these holidays to take pictures of those orange leaves in the rich people area. sooo beautiful...
..though, not saying i'm poor or anything, ha. seriously tho, those houses are like *le gasp!*

i haven't written here for a while.
my cough lung infection thing went away..aaages ago.
i guess i'm finaly getting my head around year 12. especially my art major work, which i think has a very strong concept. the theme is like the loss of innocence is like a loss of happiness and then when you get older that things get more complitcated and loss innocence through these societal expectations. what the work is going to look like is like this little kid and he's got this lollipop in his mouth and he's happy and smiling and the lighting is like bright and theres like baloons and toys on a shelf behind him. and underneath that painted will be this caption that says "if your a good boy, you'll get a lollipop!"
then the second canvas will be when the kids older (like, teenage old) and theres a cigarette replacing the lollipop. so its that loss of innocence through a more adult pleasure such as smoking, in conrast to a kid's pleasure of eating a lollipop. but a lollipop and cigarette are both pleasures depending on the level of innocence, but we see one as good and the other as bad. the cigarette is bad for your lungs as well as bad for your innocence so its that metaphorical and physical corruption of the mind and the body.
in the background of the boy, there will be a porn poster replacing the baloon and there will be bottles of alcohol replacing the toys. the lighting will be quite dark and sleazy and there will be a red light shone on one side of the guy's face to give it a sleazy feel and a subtle green light on the bottom right of his face, because we associate green with monsters and the like so its like that discreet monstrosity that the guy is sucumbing to. and i think i'm going to make the cigarette and the lollipop stick real and stick out of the canvas to reinforce the realism of the situation.
